Food items to beat the summer heat( 1 min read)

Hydration is essential during the hot and humid days of summers. Apart from consistently drinking water one can also incorporate the following easily available food items in their diet:

WATERMELON: The juicy watermelon is a rich source of vitamin A and C. It does a great job in replenishing lost fluids in the body.

CUCUMBER: Cucumber is high on water content and is extremely helpful to beat the sizzling summer heat.

CITRUS FRUITS: Citrus fruits like orange and  lemon are among the most cooling of all fruits.

APPLES: Apples have 84% of water content and thus helps you keep hydrated.

MINT: Mint has cooling and relaxing properties. It’s brisk aroma has the ability to chase away sluggishness when the temperature soars.

PEACHES: Not only are they delicious, but also contain vitamin A and C.

CURD: Curd is a great summer food item as it has cooling properties.

COCONUT WATER: It is another option that is cooling and refreshing.

TOMATOES: Tomato contains 94% of water content.

MUSKMELON: The high water content is going to take care of the fluid loss from the body due to perspiration.

GRAPES: Grab a bowl of grapes to extract the water content from this refreshing summer snack.
